About me
Hi! My name is Josu Basterra and I provide linguistic services.
"What does that mean?"
I offer translation, creative translation, editing, correction, and localisation services. I am currently working on a range of projects for multinational brands in both the furniture and homeware sector as well as electronics distribution. I have also had the opportunity to work with clients such as the Arthroscopic Surgery Unit of Dr Mikel Sanchez, La caja de tipos, and Arkel, among others.
I studied undergraduate Translation and Interpreting at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and subsequently completed my education with a Masters in International Communication, Translation, and Interpreting at Pablo de Olavide University (UPO).
During my years of formal education I have been able to acquire linguistic skills in a range of languages including Spanish, Basque, English, Italian, and French.
They say you shouldn’t bite off more than you can chew, so I decided to focus my skills on English as a secondary language and on Spanish and Basque as my primary languages. For me, my education is never over and I am also constantly learning new skills in areas related to my field, such as web design or search engine optimisation, among others.
